For students educated in the Singaporean system, students in junior colleges should take the most challenging courses available and do well in them. This means 4 A-level subjects, the compulsory General Paper, and two Special papers. It is not compulsory to take this, of course, but like all other Ivy League universities, (a uni) wants students who have challenged themselves in JC.
